Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen (IMSA)

Late June · Watkins Glen International

The Event

What it is.

The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen is the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's summer centerpiece — six hours of Corvettes, Porsches, Cadillacs, BMWs, and Acuras trading positions on one of the most demanding road courses in North America. It draws a different crowd than NASCAR: sports-car enthusiasts, road-racing purists, and a heavy contingent of factory-team personnel who camp trackside for the weekend.

The Glen turns on, but the village stays livable. Our guests attend the race by day and come home to a lakeside cottage fifteen minutes away — a quieter post-race decompression than anything in the paddock.

What to Expect

On the weekend.

  • Six hours of continuous prototype and GT class racing

  • Support races across the full race weekend (Thursday–Sunday)

  • Paddock access on most tickets — walk among the teams

  • Village of Watkins Glen 15 minutes from the track

  • Campers pack in — book lodging early or stay on a lake instead

Why This One Matters

The serious road-racing fan's weekend — deeper than NASCAR, quieter in town, and the closest thing to Le Mans in America.
