RACING · WATKINS GLEN
Late June · Watkins Glen International
The Event
The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen is the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's summer centerpiece — six hours of Corvettes, Porsches, Cadillacs, BMWs, and Acuras trading positions on one of the most demanding road courses in North America. It draws a different crowd than NASCAR: sports-car enthusiasts, road-racing purists, and a heavy contingent of factory-team personnel who camp trackside for the weekend.
The Glen turns on, but the village stays livable. Our guests attend the race by day and come home to a lakeside cottage fifteen minutes away — a quieter post-race decompression than anything in the paddock.
What to Expect
Six hours of continuous prototype and GT class racing
Support races across the full race weekend (Thursday–Sunday)
Paddock access on most tickets — walk among the teams
Village of Watkins Glen 15 minutes from the track
Campers pack in — book lodging early or stay on a lake instead
Why This One Matters
“The serious road-racing fan's weekend — deeper than NASCAR, quieter in town, and the closest thing to Le Mans in America.”
